KEYS services Toronto youth business owners between the ages of 15-29.

KEYS publishes an annual youth-run business directory, where 5000 copies are distributed to Stores, corporate partners, community organizations, city officals, youth programs and high schools, across Toronto. KEYS also holds several events to help young business owners network themselves and their businesses. See a list of our Products and Services for more details.

Uniqueness: KEYS is the only youth-owned business in Toronto that caters specifically to the youth business sector. This allows KEYS to work through the specific needs and issues that arise within the youth business sector. KEYS works with each business on a personal level, because we understand that different businesses have different needs.

Cost: KEYS works earnestly to maintain quality products and services, while maintaining affordable price rates. While mainstream directories charge anywhere from $150-$500/month for a three line listing, KEYS keeps listing and ad prices at a flat rate year round. Opportunities: Aside from the products and services offered, KEYS also works with its customers to link youth businesses to community and city initiatives, KEYS provides contact information to professionals and encourages consumers make use of youth-owned businesses.

Directory listings are 50-100 words in length and can include color and a logo. The listings are standard sizes and are organized by business genre throughout the directory.

Ads are reserved mainly for community organizations, corporations and local businesses. The ad prices are more cosltly than the directory listing but are in full color, vary in size and can be placed anywhere in the directory.

There are several volunteer opportunities available within KEYS. If you are interested, you can volunteer with KEYS by joining the Youth Advisory Council. The YAC attends monthly meetings to aid in making youth-friendly decisons within KEYS, the members are able to give feedback, attend all events and promote KEYS. YAC members receive certificates, letters of recognization and a special KEYS gift package each year. 

KEYS also has an Adult Advisory Council composed of professionals in various fields. The AAC works with KEYS to ensure quality products and services and ensure the success of KEYS and the member businesses.

Finally KEYS offers an opportunity for people to join the Promotion and Event Volunteer Team. This team is for those interested in joining the team but unable to be committ to one of the councils.
